Zendaya astonished audiences on Thursday at the London premiere of Dune: Part 2 by donning a silver bodysuit that was taken from the 1995 Mugler Couture collection. In keeping with Zendaya’s sci-fi aesthetic, glittery sleeves, gloves, and trousers were layered atop transparent plastic. She accessorized the ensemble with a thick diamond necklace.
According to Vogue, the initial Mugler Fall/Winter presentation ‘was noteworthy more for its rather liberal use of fetishistic latex; its cameos by the likes of Tippi Hedren, Patty Hearst, and Veruschka; and its performance by James Brown’.
The collection is further described as a “frightening and tantalizing image for the dawn of the Internet age and a fitting end for this list of the most unforgettable fashion shows of the 1990s” in the description.
The entire cast of Dune: Part 2 looked amazing for the movie’s premiere on Thursday in Leicester Square, London. Along with the original cast members Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya, Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, Josh Brolin, Léa Seydoux, Rebecca Ferguson, Souheiler Yacoub, Stellan Skarsgård, and Anya Taylor-Joy attended the event.
Following the events of the first movie, Paul Atreides (Chalamet) eventually gets to Chani (Zendaya) and teams up with the Fremen to defeat the villainous Harkonnens in Dune: Part Two.
Due to the actors’ strike, the film’s March release date was moved from its original 2023 release date.
Thursday’s presentation of the movie elicited overwhelmingly excellent reviews, with one critic referring to it as writer-director Denis Villeneuve’s “magnum opus.”
Critic Emily Murray went on, “Throwing you right into the action, it is totally immersive, gripping, and ultimately devastating.”
There has never been a greater Zendaya and Timothee Chalamet. I am incredibly impressed by this amazing filmmaking.
