Nashville police have confirmed the passing of Kyle Jacobs, a producer and songwriter for country music who co-starred in a CMT documentary series with his wife, the singer Kellie Pickler.
According to PEOPLE, Kyle Jacobs, 49, died, and his death is being investigated as an apparent suicide.
Kyle Jacobs published a message on Instagram the day before he passed away honoring Lee Brice’s Hello World album’s commercial success.
Jacob contributed to the album’s creative process by singing background vocals, playing acoustic guitar, and working as the album’s producer and composer.

Authorities say Jacobs reportedly committed suicide on Friday in their Nashville home. The Nashville Department of Emergency Communications reports that a 911 call was made on Friday at 1:21 pm local time.
Police and members of the Nashville Fire Department arrived at Pickler and Jacobs’ residence on Sneed Road.
Pickler told police that she awoke a short time earlier, did not see her husband, and began looking for him, a police statement said. After she and a personal assistant could not open the door to the upstairs bedroom/office, the assistant called authorities, the information added.

Jacobs could still recognize his most recent career victory with an Instagram post before he passed away. He posted a picture of the platinum certification for Lee Brice’s “Hello World” the day before his alleged death.

After his passing, CMT issued a statement expressing its sympathies to the deceased man’s family. “Our thoughts and prayers are with Kellie Pickler and the rest of the Jacobs family,” it wrote on Twitter.
