From 1951 through 1958, Frank Joseph Thomas, an American professional baseball left fielder, first baseman, and third baseman played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Cincinnati Reds, Chicago Cubs, Milwaukee Braves, New York Mets, Philadelphia Phillies, and Houston Astros in Major League Baseball (MLB).
On January 16, 2023, he passed away. He used his right hand to strike and throw. He was 200 pounds and 6 feet 3 inches (1.91 m) tall (91 kg).

Pirates Star And Original Met Frank Thomas Dies At 93!
The Pirates’ outstanding player Frank Thomas passed away on Monday. Age-wise, he was 93. The player spent his first eight years playing for the Pittsburgh Pirates in the major league. He was born and raised in Pittsburgh. He spent more than 30 years as a member of the Pirates Alumni Association.

According to a press release from Pirates President Travis Williams, “Frank was pleased to call Pittsburgh home, both as a Pirate and as a person who had lived here his whole life.” He always attended our alum organization’s functions and was proud of his family.
While playing for the Pirates, Frank Thomas was selected to the National League All-Star team three times. He was the team leader in home runs five times and four times. He drove in runs at the plate. Joanne Harrison, Patty Cain, Frankie Thomas, Maryanne Pacconi, Peter Thomas, Paul Thomas, and Mark Thomas are his seven children.
