Let’s look at Eli Roth’s psychosexual thriller Knock Knock, in which Ana de Armas and Lorenza Izzo torture Keanu Reeves. Ana de Armas made her American film debut in Eli Roth’s psychosexual thriller Knock Knock, which also starred Lorenza Izzo and Keanu Reeves, before becoming well-known for her portrayal of Marilyn Monroe in the NC-17 movie Blonde. It’s an intriguing, frequently confusing, and intensely unsettling film with complex topics that made the entire world aware of Izzo and de Armas’ remarkable talents.

The Thrilling Movies That Prepare You For Knock Knock
It appears that Funny Games, a German film its director remade in the United States as an equally nihilistic cinematic classic, had a significant effect on Knock Knock. In the movie Funny Games, two well-dressed but deranged young men break into a house in the country, harass the family who let them in, torment them, and then kill them while maintaining a constant expression of bad good humor. The genders are switched in Knock Knock.
Two stunning women (de Armas and Izzo) appear at their victim’s home in the thriller Knock Knock, a replica of the 1970s television program Death Game. Reeves portrays Evan, a former DJ, and architect who loves vinyl, as the victim. Two content children live with him and his artist wife. Evan is home alone, working on a project, while the wife and children are away for the weekend. It all starts to go south when the doorbell rings.
Two young women in skimpy clothing unexpectedly arrive at Evan’s house in the middle of the night, lost and looking for a party even though it is raining outside. They advance toward him, but he ignores them and makes an Uber call; the driver will arrive in 45 minutes. The young women ask whether they can dry their clothing while displaying overt sexual behavior. When Bel (de Armas) and Genesis (Izzo) are ready to receive their garments back once they have dried, Evan approaches them. The approaching Uber driver When the women seduce Evan when he finds them, to his surprise, nude, he initially fights them but eventually caves. Because of this short period of joy, Evan’s life as he knows it will be destroyed and subjected to constant horror.
How Was Ana De Armas’ Performance In Knock Knock?

The performance by Ana de Armas is exceptional in this instance. When she dresses up in Evan’s daughter’s clothes and addresses him as “Daddy,” she simultaneously manages to be both seductive and terrifying. She is endearing and attractive in the beginning before going wholly wild and acting like a threatening, immoral dog while virtually raping Evan.
She is much more than the bubbly airhead she initially comes off as when upset, and you can sense that she has a lot of wrath inside of her (particularly with suggestions that she was sexually raped as a youngster). She is a vicious psychopath who is determined to hurt people with her sexuality. Her character appears to be undermining historical representations of women in film (de Armas even seems to be doing a pre-Blonde Marilyn Monroe impersonation at one point, mimicking the famous image of the bombshell blowing kisses, seen below).

De Armas had English-speaking roles in the 2015 psychological thriller Knock Knock and had a supporting role in the sports biography Hands of Stone after relocating to Los Angeles (2016). In the science fiction movie Blade Runner 2049, she played a holographic AI projection and became well-known (2017). She was nominated for a 2019 Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical for her portrayal of nurse Marta Cabrera in the thriller Knives Out and won the Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actress. What Exactly Does Knock Knock Mean?
What message does Knock Knock precisely convey? Are males all pigs? Evan is a pig, right? that stunning, youthful, and barely clothed ladies are hard to resist? Those young women can be more psychotic than we know, similar to in the movie Spring Breakers. Is this more feminist or sexist? Is it merely a nasty joke, as the title suggests? Who is there when I call out?
When the two antagonists inform Evan that they have done this before and that in every instance, the man could not resist the temptation, and as a result, the ladies ruined these men and their families, we learn a lot more about the two bad guys. Additionally, we find out that before knocking on Evan’s door, they had been spying on him and his family. And they know who to call to have the body hauled up and disposed of right away when a visitor arrives late at night to secure the wife’s sculptures and dies so that they may create a gruesome sculpture out of his body.
In Roth’s Hostel, you put yourself in peril if you venture into uncharted territory. You might be drugged, kidnapped, tortured, and killed for the entertainment of wealthy sadists. When knocking on your door, it reverses this and struggles to get there. Evan is safely at home when disaster strikes in the form of two young, beautiful women who are freezing and drenched in water and appear to be quite vulnerable. As a result, he is the victim of a home invasion rather than being out partying in a foreign nation.
