Slater has apologized online. Michael B., his mother, and anyone else impacted received his apology.

To end the year, Angela Bassett‘s son played a cruel trick on his mother by informing her that Michael B. Jordan had passed away (untrue), but he quickly realized it wasn’t a brilliant idea.

This weekend, Slater, the actress’ 16-year-old son, shared a since-deleted video on his TikTok account in which he broke the potentially devastating news to AB that another one of her “Black Panther” co-stars had passed away.

You can see his mother freaking out and constantly repeating “no” as she comes closer to see what he’s seeing. He’s trying to provoke a huge reaction out of Angela, and boy, does he succeed.

Recent post:

The clip indicates that Slater was making a joke, but we cannot observe Angela’s reaction after learning the death tale is a fabrication. Because Slater removed the video, as we previously stated, we can only assume that it wasn’t great, but he is still being pursued.

People saw his video, which is now going viral on social media, and the general opinion seems to be, “Dude, how could you do that to your mom?!?” even for fun.

Of course, with the death of Chadwick Boseman, Angela has already suffered a great deal of loss in this regard. As everyone knows, Chadwick and Michael both appeared in the first “Black Panther,” and Michael appeared in the most recent sequel. They are, therefore, all close together.

Since the joke was posted, neither Angela nor Slater has addressed the error. However, given the criticism, it would probably be wise to stop publishing these false death announcements in 2022.

The previous few days, in particular, have seen more than our fair share of deaths this year. Something like this would be excessive, given what the “BP” family has been through.
Indeed, a worthwhile lesson was taught.
