Meet the wife of Blair Underwood. The former Se* and the City star wed Josie Hart on June 24, 2023. Although they have only recently begun dἀting, they have been close friends for many years.
In November 2022, Underwood declared his engagement to Hart. “When a 41-year friendship slaps you in the back of the head & blossoms into romance, you stand up, pay attention & step forward in gratitude. Gently forward. It begins!” he said in part.
Hart chooses to maintain a quiet profile instead of actor Underwood, who lives a prominent life. Despite appearing with her Underwood on the red carpet, she lives out of the spotlight.
Before dἀting Hart, Underwood was married to Desiree DaCosta for 27 years. Hart’s acting accomplishments include Dear White People, Se* and the City, The New Adventures of Old Christine, and Quantico.
The previous couple welcomed two sons, Paris and Blake, and a daughter, Brielle. In 2021, Underwood and DaCosta made their separation public.

In an Instagram post announcing their engagement in November 2022, the L.A. Law star said that Underwood and Hart initially connected when they were 16. “She’s had my back since before I even became an actor,” wrote Underwood.

The actor admitted they had “parallel, separate lives” because she lived on the East Coast with her kids and spent most of his time in California on the West Coast. Because of this, they “rarely saw each other.”
They did, though, continue to be “great friends” over time. Not only Underwood and Hart but every single one of their offspring. “We’ve always been great friends. And I’m talking about the whole family, he meant everyone.
Josie Hart Has a Child From Her Previous Marriage
Hart has children from a prior marriage, just like Underwood does. But not much information has been made available about them. However, Underwood has mentioned the close relationship their families have.
“It’s really been many years of knowing someone, but all of us,” the Actor disclosed to PEOPLE. “I have a moderate-sized family. She has a big family,” About Hart, he made the following remark. “Combined, we have a huge family. But for those who know us — and I’m talking about all the kids and grandkids… exes… spouses — for everyone to be on board and embrace and accept this union is nothing but God.”

The couple received many congratulations and encouraging comments from his friends and family in the Instagram comment section soon after Underwood revealed his engagement to Hart.
