Before he got down on one knee, he reflected on his engagement on air as part of The Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show and said he had visited her family home to ask her father’s permission to marry her.
He stated that after gaining her father’s approval, he had planned to pop the question to Carrie on a rooftop at dusk. He claimed that when he found the perfect opportunity, Carrie “had absolutely no idea.”
