After expressing her respect for the politician’s memory, Rice was criticized by some viewers for her handling of the Capitol Riots on January 6 and the critical race theory topic. After the rioting, Rice made a public statement saying, “Our institutions have to be protected.”
The events of January 6th were inappropriate. I know that “we have got to be worried about the things that are making life hard for Americans and for American families” as a government and a nation.
Rice continued by expressing her thoughts on implementing critical race theory in classrooms: “The way we’re talking about race is that it either appears so large that somehow white people suddenly have to feel guilty for everything that happened in the past.”
