Foster was the band’s keyboardist in the musical group Skylark. Their 1973 single “Wildflower” was a top ten hit thanks to the efforts of record producer Eirik Wangberg. Foster stayed in Los Angeles when the band broke up and collaborated with Jay Graydon to form the band Airplay. He began contributing to other people’s albums as a writer, producer, and arranger in addition to performing his own songs.
