At the time of her passing, American senator Dianne Feinstein was worth an estimated $110 million. On September 28, 2023, at the age of 90, she passed away. Dianne Feinstein disclosed a minimum net worth of $58 million and a maximum net worth of $110 million in the years leading up to her death.

Recent sales of nearby properties brought the ultimate tally substantially closer to (or possibly higher than) the original estimate of $110 million. Dianne was one of the wealthiest senators throughout most of her term.

Dianne’s most current asset report shows that she has an interest in Carlton Hotel Properties, which owns a number of hotels including the Hotel Carlton in San Francisco, contributing around $50 million to her total wealth.

She served as the Senate’s oldest member for much of her last years. Since 2016, she has been the Senate Judiciary Committee’s Democratic leader. She ran for governor of California against Republican Pete Wilson in 1990 but came up short. She abruptly shifted gears and, in early 1991, declared her candidacy for the Senate seat vacated by Wilson in 1992. In 1992, she and fellow Democrat Barbara Boxer made history by becoming California’s first women to be elected to the Senate.

Washington D.C.: Dianne and Richard spent over $6 million on a home in Washington, DC’s Spring Valley area in 2001.

San Francisco: A 9,500 square foot property in the Pacific Heights neighborhood of San Francisco cost Dianne Feinstein and Richard Blum $16.5 million in 2006. The 5-bedroom, 4-story mansion has an elevator and a wine cellar.

Lake Tahoe: Dianne and Richard bought a 4.75-acre piece of lakefront property in Tahoe for $9.7 million in 2007. The main residence in the complex is 10,000 square feet and has seven bedrooms. Dianne and Richard have put their home on the market for $46 million in December of 2020. In the end, they agreed to take $33 million in December of 2021.

Aspen: Richard and Dianne purchased a 36-acre piece of raw land in Aspen, Colorado for $1.975 million in 1996. They spent several million dollars building a home with five bedrooms and nine thousand square feet in 1998 and gave it the name “Bear Paw Ranch.” In July of 2022, Dianne put the home on the market for $29.9 million. In March of 2023, it was sold for $25 million.
