A driver critically damaged in a three-car collision in Pontiac last month has passed away.
The Oakland County Medical Examiner’s Office reports that St. Clair Shores resident Jeffery James McMillin, 24, passed away on Tuesday due to numerous blunt force trauma. The fatality was classified as an accident.
Around 9:45 p.m. on March 30, McMillin was drag racing with a Nissan 350Z and a Ford Focus when they struck him at East South Boulevard and Centerpoint Parkway while driving a Dodge Charger stolen from Toledo.
The sheriff’s office reported that McMillin was thrown into the pavement because she was not buckled in.

The Nissan’s 18-year-old Jackson driver and his passenger also suffered injuries in the collision and were taken to the hospital. According to the sheriff’s office, both likely wore seatbelts during the crash.
According to the sheriff’s office, the Focus’s 19-year-old Waterford Township driver wore a seatbelt during the collision and received little medical attention.
The alleged drag racers may face prosecution, although nothing has been announced as of yet.
