Elizabeth King Obituary: At the beginning of Saturday morning at the Humility House in Austintown, 97-year-old Jean Elizabeth King of Austintown passed away. Jean Rhodes was the daughter of the late Leo Rhodes and Bessie (Brumbaugh) Rhodes. She was born on April 22, 1923, in Kent, Ohio.
She had worked as a beautician for her own business. She had also been employed at Robinson Memorial Hospital in the laundry department for a total of 14 years until taking early retirement in 1988. Glenn W. King, whom she had wed on January 3, 1941, passed away in January 1974. She is survived by her daughter Cheryl L.
(Robert) Cole of Berlin Center, Ohio; her stepson Glenn Merrill King of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; some granddaughters and great-grandchildren; her niece Jane Hunter and her family. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a stepson named George B. King, a sister named Ardys Ensinger, and a brother named Howard Rhodes.
What Caused Jean’s Death?
Elizabeth A. King, age 69, from Chalmers, Indiana, passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 12, 2020, at the IU Health White Memorial of Monticello.
She was born in Bridgeport, Illinois, on September 9, 1950, to Chester and Harriet (Romanek) Clark, who passed away before her birth. Elizabeth received her high school diploma from North Judson-San Pierre in 1968.

Elizabeth served as a volunteer as a Cub Scout and Girl Scout Leader in addition to being a long-time member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Reynolds, where she held the position of President of the Chalmers Book Club. She was also a member of the Rensselaer Book Club and the Chalmers Park Board. Elizabeth was a loving and devoted member of her family and community; both will sorely miss her.

Elizabeth treasured her two dogs, Rudy and Petey, and she enjoyed reading whenever possible in her spare time. She also had an infectious laugh that could light up a room, always appreciated a cold Dr. Pepper, and had a lot of fun in her spare time. She always had her distinct perspective on the world and managed to find the silver lining in any circumstance.
The couple’s children, Lisa (Greg) Hollingsworth of Camden, Indiana, Lori (Joseph) Cianelli of Strongsville, Ohio, and Scott King of Chalmers, Indiana, as well as their grandchildren, Madeline, Drew, Sophia, Alton, Priscilla, and Annabeth, survive her along with her husband, Marcus. Lee Clark of Avon and Chet (Maria) Clark of North Judson, Indiana, both of whom are his brothers, are also still living.

At St. Joseph Catholic Church in Reynolds on Tuesday, March 17, 2020, friends and family are welcome to call beginning at 1 PM (EST) and continuing until the time of the Funeral Mass at 3 PM (EST). After the funeral mass, the burial will take place. It will be presided over by Fr. Buckles.
In honor of Elizabeth and her memory, memorial gifts can be donated in her name to the Chalmers Park Board.;
