The band Foo Fighters released a statement in which they wrote, “Millions of people mourned his untimely loss on March 25, with impassioned and honest tributes coming from fans as well as performers Taylor idolized.”
“The Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts will unite several of those artists, the Hawkins family, and of course his Foo Fighters brothers in celebration of Taylor’s memory and his legacy as a global rock icon — his bandmates and his inspirations playing the songs that he fell in love with, and the ones that he brought to life,” said the band Foo Fighters. “The Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts will be held in the United States and Canada in October and November.”
In addition to announcing the shows, the Foo Fighters shared a statement by Alison Hawkins, Hawkins’ widow. In the report, she said, “My deepest thanks and admiration go out to the global Foo Fighters community and Taylor’s fans far and wide for the outpouring of love every one of you has shown our beloved Taylor.” Your compassion has been a valuable source of solace for my family and me during this incomprehensible loss.
She said, “Taylor was honored to be a part of the Foo Fighters and appreciated his dream role in the band every minute of his 25 years with them.” [Taylor] “was honored to be a part of the Foo Fighters.” “We think of every member of the Foo Fighters band and the broader Foo Fighters organization as a member of our family.
Through the numerous collaborations with other musicians he so thoroughly appreciated and the song catalog he contributed and produced, Taylor’s endearing nature and profound love of music will endure all of eternity.
When Did Foo Fighters Complete 50 Years?
The death of Taylor Hawkins, who was 50 years old and a member of the Foo Fighters, occurred on March 25 while the band was on tour in South America. The official cause of death has not yet been determined.
One of Hawkins’ longtime friends, the guitarist Stevie Salas, spoke to Rolling Stone after his passing about the unrelenting drive that made Hawkins such a superb drummer. Salas recalled how Hawkins would practice for hours on end.
Salas expressed his opinion: “I feel Taylor wanted to be great so badly, and I believe he never realized he was great.” “I believe that Taylor would sit down each day and convince himself that he wasn’t good enough, and then he would work and work and work toward becoming a fantastic person.
I always told him, “Dude, you can relax now. I’ve got this.” Everything is going swimmingly.’ On the other hand, I don’t think he ever truly unwound and felt good about who he was as a musician.
