Former Apartheid-Era Minister Adriaan Vlok Dies: Adriaan Vlok, a former Law and Order Minister during the apartheid era, passed away at Unitas Hospital in Centurion.
Vlok, who was 85 years old, passed suddenly early on Sunday morning after a brief illness.

After entering a guilty plea to ordering security police to shoot anti-apartheid campaigner Frank Chikane, he was given a 10-year suspended sentence for attempted murder in 2007.
