Florida State University recognized her as a “Grad Made Good” in 2002. She has since gone on to win the “2002 Woman of the Year Award” from the Police Athletic League, as well as the “Champion for Youth” award from the YMCA in 2000 and the “Spirit of Life” award from the City of Hope.
Huff is a member of the American Meteorological Society, the National Association of Black Journalists, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority, and the New York Friars’ Club, and she received the “Kaleidoscope Award” for excellence in television meteorology from Bronx Community College in 1995. She was honored with a spot in the New York State Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2016.
