Is Real Madrid Legend Iker Casillas Actually Gay?

Iker Casillas, a former goalkeeper for Real Madrid, has gained attention from the global football community because of his Twitter account.

Unexpectedly, the former Spanish shot-stopper claimed to be gay in a tweet from his account. Tweet stated (but he deleted this tweet now):

“I hope you respect me: I’m gay. #HappySunday.”

Football fans wondered if the tweet was actual or a prank, sending shockwaves through social media.

Iker Casillas, however, has recently come forward and stated that the post was a fraud and that his social media account was hacked. After apologizing to his supporters, the former Real Madrid captain deleted the message.

“It’s time to tell our story, Iker.”

Also deleted was Puyol’s reply to his former international teammate’s tweet. The former captain of Barcelona may have been the hackers’ target.
