Stills dated the musician Judy Collins from 1968 to 1969, and it was for Collins that he would later compose the song “Suite: Judy Blue Eyes.”

On March 14, 1973, the pair exchanged their vows and became husband and wife. 1974 marked the year that they welcomed their first child into the world: Christopher.
1979 was the year that the couple divorced. In 1976, Stills expressed his concerns about his hearing loss to Rolling Stone, saying, “My hearing loss has become a serious issue.”
