Kevin Costner, one of America’s most well-known Western TV performers, plays a role when he appears in the movie. Infamous 1980s movies, he portrayed everything from bodyguards to cowboys. He most recently appeared in the blockbuster series Yellowstone as John Dutton.
He is the father of seven lovely children and a music aficionado behind the scenes. However, after 18 years of marriage, Costner and his wife Christine Baumgartner have decided to div0rce.
The news that Kevin Costner’s wife has requested a div0rce surprised everyone because there had been rumors that the actor would be leaving Yellowstone.
The Hollywood Reporter was informed by his team that the claim was accurate. “It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond his control have transpired which have resulted in Mr. Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage action. We ask that his, Christine’s, and their children’s privacy be respected as they navigate this difficult time,” the message said.

You can see that the star of Yellowstone wed his wife in a sweet Western ranch wedding in 2004 if you turn the tape back. But getting married to Christine Baumgartner was only one stage of their protracted love affair.
They barely knew one another when they started d@ting in 1996, just like in other Hollywood love stories.
Baumgartner and Costner ran into each other again two years later at a restaurant. Both of them were single at the time. “We exchanged numbers, and I told her that I would – did she mind if I called her in two weeks,” Costner told PEOPLE in 2003. “I did not realize that was like an insult to a woman.” That pickup mistake by John Dutton might be one of the worst.

She and Costner have been very helpful to each other in their lives. “I showed [some samples] to Kevin, and he said they were beautiful and amazing,” Baumgartner told the Denver Post in 2005. “He told me I should take it to the next step and he’d help me. I’ve always loved fashion and style, and if you can mix it with function, it’s perfect.”
Costner has kept their bond mainly under wraps. Everything about their Aspen wedding, except for how the bride and groom arrived, was calm. Baumgartner arrived at the event shortly after Costner did in an old green pickup vehicle pulled by horses.
However, the breakup news is receiving much attention, perhaps because fans are curious about Yellowstone’s upcoming return. Additionally, Costner has previously been married.

Being the parent of three, no, four, no, seven children makes Kevin Costner happy. Even though he didn’t anticipate having so many children, he told PEOPLE last year that being a parent is one of his greatest joys.“I work as a provider,” he said. “When I’m not making a movie…I’m getting the kids to their stuff or I’m waiting for them to come out of a party. I’m just twiddling my thumbs. People have a wrong idea about how my life works.”
The Yellowstone cowboy has three adult children, Joe, Lily, and Annie, with his ex-wife Silva. In the middle of the 1990s, he had a brief relationship with Bridget Rooney; together, they had Liam, who is now an adult.
That’s a different scenario when it comes to the younger Baumgartner. Baumgartner, 19 years his junior, made her desire for children plain from the beginning, according to Costner, who spoke to Extra.
To Costner’s credit, he was “crushed” when he went through a split with his older children and was afraid of going through it again. “Finally, there came a moment where [I thought] maybe this doesn’t go forward,” Costner explained. He quickly realized that was no way to think about life. “I’m not going to lose her because I’m afraid.”
They have three children: Cayden Wyatt, 15, Hayes Logan, 14, and Grace Avery, 12.
