Sinema has shifted her political leanings toward the center and right during her time in Congress, despite having started out as a prominent progressive in the Arizona Green Party.
Due to her exceptionally conservative voting record within her Party’s caucus, she has been characterized as either a moderate or conservative Democrat. On the other hand, she is dedicated to expanding LGBTQ rights, opposes the death penalty, supports reasonable gun control measures, and supports a woman’s right to choose.
