In League of Legends in Patch 12.2, Zeri is going to debut! Riot has disclosed a lot of details regarding the upcoming game. And we have loads of new and unique skins coming up as well. But before we begin to tell you about that, who is Zero? And what role will she play in LOL Patch 12.2?
In her official description, she is mentioned to be “a headstrong, spirited young woman from Zaun’s working-class”. Some of her specialities are that she can run super-fast, she gets charged, and she shoots the bad guys! The team has also worked on Janna and Tahm Kench. So, it will be a delight to find that out from the official sources.
The upcoming version will focus on the new champion who will hail out of Zaun. Yes, you guessed it right, she is indeed Zeri. She is the first champion who will enter the Summoner’s Rift. In the last version, we only got Elderwood-themed skins, but LOL, Patch 12.2 won’t disappoint because there are a total of 16 new skins! They’ll now seem more modern.

LOL Patch 12.2 and Zeri Release Date
LOL Patch 12.2 has already been released on 19th January 2022! As you must be aware, each new game is first launched on PBE Test Server, and then after two weeks, it makes its way to the live servers. So, the game will launch on the live servers somewhere in February.
Unusually, Zeri has already launched on live servers. Phlow Tweeted:
“Because I know y’all will be curious: We’re buffing the wind brothers because they suffered substantially from the Shieldbow changes and dropped to around 47.5% win rate each, a fair bit lower than intended and lower than the other Shieldbow bound champs.”

Riot Games revealed the new marksman on Friday! Zero is charged by electricity, and she can attack her enemies from an impressive distance. Due to her fast pace, the champion can also steal her enemies’ shields for her protection.
Her auto-attack is quite different from others. It is a “slow magic damage ability”. She can cover short distances because of Spark Surge ability. Her AOE attacks are lethal! Because they cause a lot of damage. It might be her best capability.
Other notes on Zeri:
- Passive Living Battery:
Whenever Zeri attacks a shield, she absorbs energy from it and gets charged. This also assists her in shielding herself.
- Q- Burst Fire
- Passive: her basic attack is magic damage, scales with AP, and is considered an ability. Her Sparkpack will start storing energy once Burst Fire moves.
- Active: Burst Fire launches seven rounds which cause physical damage to the enemy.
- R – Lightning Crash
When she discharges electricity, not only does she cause damage to her enemies. But she herself gets moderately charged for a specific period. And this is when she becomes overcharged. Obviously, there are privileges of her getting soaked. The most impressive one is that her damage reaches maximum.
LOL Patch 12.2 and Zeri Other champions
LOL 12.2 will also mark the return of Samira, Senna, Yasuo, and Yone. The fans seem pretty content with their recovery. Samira and Senna get new buffs on every connected shot. At the same time, Yasou and Yone get damage buffs on their Qs.
Pridestalker will get blessed with a new Passive for his Ultimate. And there are significant tweaks for Janna, Tahm Kench, and Rengar as well. But the main hero will, of course, be Zeri. So, make sure to look out for her!
