On July 26, 1977, Mullin was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born Jim Martin and Brenda Gayle Morris Mullin’s youngest child. His father worked at Mullin Plumbing, a plumbing company. When his father became ill, he took over the family business at 20.
He received his education at Stilwell High School before attending Missouri Valley College.
He didn’t complete his studies in Missouri and enrolled at the Institute of Technology at Oklahoma State University. 2010, he graduated with an associate’s in construction technology from Oklahoma University.
