Mike Leach Obituary: Head coach, Mike Leach of Mississippi State University, passed away late on Monday night due to cardiac problems. Leach’s age was given as 61. Leach was one of the most well-liked college football coaches of all time and possibly the most charismatic figure in the game in recent decades.
His response to the question of what will be included in his obituary during an ESPN profile provides further proof. Since Leach wasn’t going to be responsible for writing it, he didn’t give a hoot.
“That’s their problem, they’re the one writing the obituary, what do I care? I’m dead. The only regret I’ll have is I didn’t get to do more things,” This is what Leach said to ESPN.
After Leach’s death, his loved ones made a public statement.
“We are supported and uplifted by the outpouring of love and prayers from family, friends, Mississippi State University, the hospital staff, and football fans around the world,” Leach’s family said. “Thank you for sharing in the joy of our beloved husband and father’s life.”
The Leach family and all of Mississippi State are in our prayers. Do you want to learn more about celebrities? Visit our website, Newswatchlist.com, for the most recent news.
