As a player, assistant coach, head coach, and executive, he is the first sports figure in North America to win a championship. He has also played in the NBA Finals in various capacities over six decades. He was recognized as one of the top 10 coaches in NBA history in 1996. Riley recently took home two NBA titles while serving as the Heat’s team president in 2012 and 2013. On June 20, 2012, he was presented with the Chuck Daly Lifetime Achievement Award by the NBA Coaches Association.
