After months of speculation, Netflix has officially given us a release date for their new Resident Evil series. Resident Evil Series will premiere on July 14.
Taking a break from both the video game and movie canon. The series follows Jade Wesker, one of Albert Wesker’s two children, as she takes on a variety of infected animals and monsters in a bid to save the world. In a departure from prior stories, the series will take place in 2036, a year after the events of the ‘s eventsfirst film’s events.
Connor Gosatti and Lance Reddick will feature in Resident Evil with Ella Balinska and Tamara Smart. Adeline Rudolph, Paola Nuez, Ahad Raza Mir, and Siena Agudong also star. One character from the cast has been revealed thus far: Lance Reddick will play Albert Wesker in the next film.
Netflix has also released new posters for the series in conjunction with the news. At this point, the T-Virus and the Umbrella Corporation are clearly featured in the storey, as well as a strange entity dubbed “Joy”.
Due to Hiring Problems, Star Wars Eclipse may not launch for six years.
