In an interview with Win Magazine, Mensah-Stock revealed that Jacob has always been her biggest supporter and has always emphasized her wrestling ability. Mensah-Stock had told the magazine, “He’s always been my biggest booster, who thinks I have the most potential but adds he has seen me take it easy on someone.

At Morton Ranch High School, which is located roughly 30 miles to the west of Houston, Jacob started wrestling just like his wife. Jacob’s decision to wrestle and attend the Texas school was one of the critical factors in Mensah-decision Stock’s to join Wayland Baptist University. Mensah-Stock also won her two WCWA national championships at Wayland for the Pioneers as well, and looking back; she attributes this to Jacob being “handsome” enough to compel her to follow suit.
She continued, he was a wrestler on the team I idolized, and he was this tall, attractive guy I didn’t believe would ever want to talk to me. I had a major crush on him. I joined Wayland after learning that he had done so and did as well. Then in our junior year in college, we got together.
