After going viral on social media, the seven-year-old was named “Corn Kid” for his enthusiasm and love of corn. The boy gained notoriety after appearing in the reel video of the YouTube channel Recess Therapy. The responses to that video were varied and included songs, modified videos, and memes.

YouTube has had more than 3.3 million views, and Instagram has seen more than 1.9 million. There have been almost 23 million views of a TikTok version of the video.

Instead, the original news item includes more information about Tariq, such as how he became one of the most well-known young people online merely because of his love of corn.
