The young son of Maralee Nichols and Tristan Thompson is growing up quickly.
To commemorate her son Theo Thompson turning 8 months old, the 31-year-old model posted a new image of him on Tuesday.
Theo Thompson’s legs and one of his arms are seen in the adorable photo. He is holding his arm toward blocks that read, “Look who is 8 months,” while wearing a green onesie.
Theo Thompson is the first child for Maralee and the third for the 31-year-old NBA player, who is also the father of son Prince, 5, and daughter True Thompson, 4, with his ex-girlfriend Khloe Kardashian and his ex-boyfriend Jordan Craig.
Nichols honored her son online on Mother’s Day in May, her first Mother’s Day.
She captioned the picture of herself holding Theo while wearing a floor-length outfit, “Words cannot convey how much I love you. Being your mommy is my greatest blessing.” You are my everything.
She said, “Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful mums out there.”
Nichols disclosed the significance of her son’s name in February.
In a statement to PEOPLE at the time, Nichols referred to Theo as “my little angel baby.” I gave you the name Theo because it denotes a “Gift from God.”
She continued, “I had never been pregnant and was warned I might not be able to have children. “When I saw you on the ultrasound and heard your tiny heartbeat, I couldn’t believe I was expecting. I vowed to always look out for you and keep you safe. You won’t ever understand how much I adore you. You enrich my life with such joy and happiness. I heartily bless you.”
PEOPLE initially learned Theo Thompson’s name from the birth certificate. The athlete was not listed on the birth certificate “because he was not present at Theo Thompson’s birth,” according to a statement from Nichols provided to PEOPLE.

In January, the NBA player posted a message on his Instagram Story confirming that he was the baby’s father “I accept full accountability for my choices. Now that paternity has been confirmed, and I’m looking forward to raising our son amicably.”
I genuinely apologize to everyone I have offended or disappointed throughout this journey, publicly and individually, the speaker continued.
Later, Thompson expressed regret to Kardashian in writing, “You don’t deserve this, Khloe. You don’t deserve the suffering and embarrassment I’ve put you through. The way I’ve treated you throughout the years is not something you deserve.”
Added him: “Clearly, my behavior hasn’t matched how I feel about you. I love and respect you more than anything. Despite what you might believe. Again, I apologize profusely.”
The Kardashians on Hulu‘s inaugural season featured Thompson’s most recent cheating scandal unfolding.
