So, you’ve made it through season four (or season two, as Netflix would have us call it) and have a lot of thoughts swirling through your brain. Many unanswered questions will be revealed in the second season. Let’s get this party started, shall we? Top Boy Season 5 Possible Release Date
It’s a done deal. Top Boy will return for the last time for its fifth and final season somewhere in 2023.
Stars Ashley Walters and Kane ‘Kano’ Robinson said: “We know how much this show means to everyone on our crew, and we know how much it means to you if you’ve been following along from the beginning. We wouldn’t be where we are today if it weren’t for the support of everyone who knows these characters.
“Newcomers to Top Boy have become as integral to the show’s heritage as Dushane and Sully’s adventures, and they reflect each new plot in a realistic, raw manner.
“As a result of all of this, and in keeping with our initial intention, we have decided to finish the series with season three—an opportunity to complete the voyage and come full circle.
“We’re looking forward to the journey ahead, and we appreciate your company. Thank you so much for everything. We’ll see each other again soon enough.”
Although the streaming giants have hinted at a fight for streets, it’s still anyone’s guess who will govern Summerhouse Estate – except Jamie. Jamie, it’s time to go.
Even though Dushane was considering leaving everything behind at the end of season four, Walters insists it isn’t as simple as that. According to a statement made in an interview with Digital Spy,
“I don’t think he genuinely wants to leave the streets. I played it that way because he’s saying it, and it would be fantastic in a perfect world, but I believe he’s someone who has been so steeped in that lifestyle and has made money and control that he has.”
He continued, saying: “Control is now the main issue. It’s not about the stuff you can see or touch. It’s in his nature to crave power and authority over his surroundings. That’s why he’d have a hard time leaving it.
A press release announcing the last season of Top Boy also revealed that production would begin in the summer, so those with high hopes may look forward to seeing something in the early spring of 2023.

Top Boy Season 5 Cast
Ashley Walter’s Dushane and Kane Robinson’s Sully escaped uninjured for the second year in a row. We don’t believe any of them have died. Therefore we’re confident they’ll show up again.
If Sully shot Jamie (Michael Ward) in the head, it’s pretty improbable that he’ll ever return to the show.
After being shot by Jamie, Kit (Kadeem Ramsay), Jamie’s best buddy, will no longer be joining the cast for the upcoming third season.
Ats (Keiyon Cook), Stef’s best buddy, was found dead midway through season four, making it a difficult moment for best friends.

Top Boy Season 5 Plot
One thing is for sure: someone will catch a whiff. There was too much treachery in the last season for there to be no fallout.
Despite Sully’s best efforts, Dushane and Sully’s relationship appears on the rocks. Dushane had planned to retire by handing over the narcotics operation to Jamie. We should expect Dushane to react strongly to Sully’s decision to scrap the scheme.
It’s unlikely that he’d be standing unless he was paralysed by dread, as he’d acquired during season four. Deal with his mental health, which will be a new issue for Dushane going ahead, might be a key touchpoint.
The glance between Sully and Jamie’s younger brother Stef revealed a long gaze in which Stef’s astonishment and amazement were swapped for regret, a touch of remorse, and maybe resolution on Sully’s side. Stef and Aaron (Jamie’s other brother) may be interested in resolving the issue.
Aaron is now the earner and Stef’s guardian, so it will be fascinating to watch how he responds. Will he follow Jamie’s example, drop out of school, and hit the streets? It will be interesting to see how things shake out in Season 5.
Not only are Jamie’s brothers resentful, but Jaq’s sister Lauryn will probably have to keep an eye on her as well. You’d think that putting a stop to her dangerous relationship with her controlling and violent ex-boyfriend Curtis (Howard Charles) would be enough to put her out of harm’s way.
Vee makes Curtis seem like a puppy by comparison. Therefore there’s no hope for him! Still, he’s a crazed dog. It’s impossible for her not to revenge for the loss of the sibling she cherished in every possible reality. A new baby isn’t the only thing Lauryn has to watch.
Shelley, Dushane’s girlfriend, has at least one skeleton in her closet that we know about and might come out at any time. As of now, she has been able to cover up her ex-violent boyfriend’s activities by digging up and disposing of the body. Even if the victim’s ex-girlfriend discovers her blackmailer’s identity next season, it may be game over for her.
I’ve got so many tangled threads to untangle. Season five has to begin as soon as possible. We’re very excited!
