Houston, Texas, welcomed Jacques Bermon Webster II on April 30, 1991. From when he was one until six, Webster resided in South Park, Houston, with his grandmother. Scott relocated from Houston to Washington Heights in New York City after finishing college, where he started working with a friend, Mike Waxx, who ran the music website Illroots. After relocating to New York, Scott stayed with a friend and slept on the floor while he spent most of his time at Just Blaze’s studio.
Scott spent only four months in New York before becoming dissatisfied with the lack of progress and leaving the city for Los Angeles, California.
