What Happened To Rascal Flatts?
Rascal Flatts announced their Farewell: Life Is a Highway Tour for 2020 on Tuesday (January 7). The three have said they will be splitting up after 2020, which is implied by the tour’s title, but they have been a bit cagey about the circumstances of their separation. The news was made at the start of 2020, the 20th anniversary year for Joe Don Rooney, Jay DeMarcus, and Gary LeVox as Rascal Flatts.
Even if the three don’t plan to play together again after this year, they’ve already planned a massive year of events to commemorate the occasion. A career change is expected from Rascal Flatts, but the band’s statements over the previous few years suggest that we may not have seen the last of them onstage as a unit.
There are several reasons why fans shouldn’t be devastated by the news of their divorce, and it’s not only because they’ve announced a massive tour to close out 2020. Rascal Flatts will probably be around in some form far past the end of the year. Here are some reasons: We can see people searching for Why Did Rascal Flatts Break Up?

Why Did Rascal Flatts Break Up?
Gary LeVox, the main singer, recently admitted in an interview with People Magazine that he was “never okay” with how the band broke up. Gary, Joe Don Rooney, and Jay DeMarcus were a three-piece band, but Gary suggests that tensions began to rise after one member resigned.
I was disappointed that Joe Don left the company,” Gary said. Gary appears to hold the pandemic and Joe Don’s departure jointly responsible for his dissatisfaction with how Rascal Flatts concluded, saying, “The news of Joe Don’s departure was unexpected. A mental attempt to make sense of the situation was made.”

In addition, he said, “The cancellation of everything due to the pandemic didn’t make me any happier. The way it all wrapped up irritates me. I hate that we didn’t get to do this farewell tour. When it comes to something we have been so fortunate to experience, I can’t take the feeling that there is no resolution. I’ll have that memory with me forever.”
The three members of Rascal Flatts reconciled long enough to perform at the ACM Honors in August 2021. All three band members have moved on to individual projects since their breakup. Jay DeMarcus has recently published the song “Music Man” in memory of his father.
Gary and Joe Don have both continued their musical careers, with Gary’s focus shifting toward a Christian rock aesthetic for his forthcoming project.
