Why Did Tamar And Vince Break Up: Finally clearing up the confusion surrounding the divorce rumors is Tamar Braxton.
The 40-year-old singer appeared as a guest co-host on The View on Friday, discussing her current state of affairs with her estranged husband, Vincent Herbert.
Fans may remember that there were a lot of talks that the controversy surrounding Braxton and Herbert was an attempt to boost the popularity of Tamar & Vince.
After nine years of marriage, Braxton filed for divorce from Herbert in October. “I wish mine weren’t true. I wish I could claim that a lot of the time it’s made up, just so I could hide behind the reality sometimes,” she added. “However, I have no justification for lying about my marriage and the things going on to get more viewers. I find that repulsive, and I would never sell my soul in such a way to the devil. Not that serious.”
I’m in a typical marriage, and in customary marriages, things happen just like everyone else’s. She went on. “My marriage had just reached the point where I felt like my only remaining alternative was to file for divorce.
Even though we receive significant counseling, which is still desperately needed and always will be, I believe that the most crucial aspect of everything is that we have a duty to raise my incredible 4-year-old son [Logan] in the most fantastic, loving, and secure home we are capable of. We don’t live together because of this.”
They are not currently living together, Braxton reiterated as he proceeded.
“I filed for divorce,” she exclaimed. “That’s not a lie.”
Later in the program, Herbert sat down at the table with Braxton and her fellow co-hosts, where he made history by publicly discussing the breakup for the first time. He also responded to Braxton’s earlier allegations that he had caused another woman’s pregnancy while still dating.
He answered “Without a doubt” when asked if the rumors were accurate.
“There’s not [a bun in the oven], and all the other allegations are just not true,” he said. “I’m just not that kind of person. I love this lady with all my heart, I love my family with all my heart, and I will never stop fighting for my family and trying to make it great.”
By declaring, “At this point, I don’t think he has anything to lie about,” Braxton made it clear that she now believes him.

“The pregnancy rumor came from my friends,” she explained. “I have to be honest about it. Vince and I have been through a lot, and the reason why I filed for divorce was not because of those rumors. I filed for divorce because we worked together, he’s my baby’s father, we’re together every day, we’re attached at the hip, and it just got to be too much. We couldn’t figure out how to figure it out.”
