Fans can now see what one of their favorite characters from the program has been up to after leaving the series, thanks to Yellowstone.
The fifth midseason finale of the program, “A Knife and No Coin,” which aired last night (January 1) in the US and served as a covert pilot for the spin-off 6666, depicted life on the Texas ranch where ranch hand Jimmy Hurdstrom (Jefferson White) moved to improve his abilities and become a real cowboy.
Jimmy unexpectedly made a surprise appearance after being away the entire season to bring some humor to the show and provide an update on his relationship with veterinary technician Emily, with whom he is engaged (Kathryn Kelly). Spoiler alert: Jimmy seems to be thriving at the Four Sixes, and the two are still going strong.
White’s role is meant to pique Yellowstone viewers’ interest in 6666, which will examine life at the Texas ranch.
“No ranch in America is more immersed in the history of the West than the 6666, which was established while Comanches still ruled over West Texas. A new scripted series where the rule of law and the rules of nature meet in a setting where the next thing one does is the most deadly has been inspired by the 6666, which is still in operation and spans an entire county “Shared in the formal premise was Paramount+.
“The 6666 is synonymous with the merciless endeavor to raise the finest horses and livestock in the world, and ultimately where world-class cowboys are born and made.”
Yellowstone has produced many spin-offs, including 1883 and 1923, the soon-to-be-released 6666, and a brand-new chapter, 1883: The Bass Reeves Story.
The star of the main show, Piper Perabo, announced that filming for the second half of season 5 hasn’t yet begun, so fans will have to wait for it.
Without specifying a precise release date, Paramount has stated that it will be released this summer.
