According to officials, in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Denny’s sign fell and crushed a car, resulting in one fatality and two injuries.
The sign collapsed at the chain restaurant on Thursday and smashed an occupied car, according to Chris Denham, the Elizabethtown public affairs officer, who spoke to ABC News.
He said that the Hardin County EMS and fire department responded to the area after authorities received a call about the incident at about 1:30 p.m.

According to Denham, a 72-year-old lady was brought to the University of Louisville with more severe injuries before succumbing to her wounds. Two victims were taken to Baptist Health Hardin hospital, and the 72-year-old woman subsequently died from her wounds.
Baptist Health Hardin is providing medical care for the additional casualties.
What caused the sign to fall is unknown.
According to Denham, the probe is still in its early stages.
