Vinland Saga’s debut season dazzled spectators with spectacular visuals, dramatic action, and a deeply human story about battle and history, making it one of the most lauded programs of recent years.
Since then, fans have been clamoring for a second season, and it has now been revealed that one is in the works.
Vinland Saga Season 2 Release Date
The release date for Vinland Saga Season 2 has not yet been confirmed. While we can only conjecture, the series is unlikely to premiere until 2023.
The director of the first season recently tweeted about an ‘unexpected scenario,’ which is thought to be related to Vinland Saga’s probable studio shift (explained at the end of this article).
However, it’s worth noting that no official release date has been announced.
There’s a potential the series will be released later this year, but we wouldn’t get our hopes up.
Vinland Saga Season 2 Characters
As far as we know, the main cast of Vinland Saga will remain largely unchanged. There will undoubtedly be some new characters introduced, but the primary cast will remain largely unchanged until the very end.

Vinland Saga Season 2 Plot
The anime Vinland Saga Season 1 aired 24 episodes from July to December 2019. Season 2 of the Vinland Saga will premiere soon, perhaps picking up where Season 1 left off. On July 26th, 2021, there will be more announcements, however, it is unclear if they will be about the anime or the manga. The latter is currently in the midst of its final saga, although it does not appear to be coming to a close anytime soon.
The journey of Thorfinn is prepared to move forward now that Vinland Saga Season 2 is fully in production. Not only is this a coming-of-age narrative, but it’s also about growing up during a conflict and discovering what’s important in the midst of it.
The first season consists of 24 episodes, which correspond to approximately 8 volumes of the manga. King Sweyn’s assassination has been completed. After being sold into slavery, Thorfinn is allowed to liberate himself by working on a farm.
King Canute goes out on a quest for plunder to construct a paradise for Vikings. One of his targets, with an army at his disposal, is the land Thorfinn works on. Thorfinn must face his warrior path and confront King Canute after gaining his freedom.
Given that the first twenty-four episodes adapted the manga’s War Arc, Season 2 is expected to focus on the Slave Arc. If Canut’s forces capture Thorfinn, he will most likely be sold into slavery. Someone with his persistence will not give up easily, and he will most likely begin plotting his escape from the bondsman’s life.
Askeladd may find camaraderie and spiritual support from his fellow slaves in the aftermath of his tragic death, but his life’s goal will change radically.
Where can I watch Vinland Saga Dub?
For the longest period, Vinland Saga was available in Japanese audio with subtitles in many languages. Vinland Saga will be released on Blu-Ray with both Japanese and English audio, according to a recent statement. Sentai Filmworks has announced that the English Dub for the anime Summer 2021 will be released on August 31, 2021.
Season 1 is now available to watch on Amazon Prime Video. In the United States, the series is anticipated to return for a second season on Prime Video. Official release dates have yet to be announced.
