Doc Martin is a British comedy-drama series on ITV about a grumpy physician who lives in a peaceful Cornish village. Doc Martin Season 10 Plot
After the final season of Doc Martin, which aired in 2019, the Doc decided to step down from his position as the general practitioner of Portwenn after the General Medical Council investigated his professional history in medicine due to his fear of blood. Consequently, during this last season of Doc Martin, the titular character makes an effort to conquer his anxiety and starts to wonder if he made the correct choice when he decided to leave his position.
As he and his wife Louisa have also recently become parents to a baby girl named Mary Elizabeth, who is a sibling for James Henry, who is now four years old, we can assume that their home will be somewhat chaotic throughout this series. There have also been some fresh filming pictures that show Martin standing next to a car while it is perched on the edge of a cliff. It is not quite obvious what takes place in the scenario, however, there is an image that shows a woman standing at the base of the cliff.

Martin Clunes will reprise his role as Dr. Martin Ellingham, the grumpy local general practitioner in the fictional Cornish beach community of Portwenn, in the tenth season of the BBC television series Doc Martin. Ellingham has a very abrupt bedside manner and is afraid of blood. In recent years, Martin Clunes has starred in several hit dramas, one of which being Manhunt on ITV, where he played the role of DCI Colin Sutton in both season 1 and season 2 of the show.
In addition to that, he has been the host of several travel series on ITV, such as Martin Clunes’ Islands of the Pacific. Caroline Catz also reprises her role as Louisa Ellingham, the wife of Doc Martin. Louisa recently left her position as headmistress at the local school to pursue a new profession in the field of child counseling.
Dame Eileen Atkins, who plays Doc Martin’s intimidating Aunt Ruth, is one of the other regular cast members who will be returning. Joe Absolom will play Bert Large’s son Al, and Ian McNeice will reprise his role as Bert Large. Jessica Ransom plays the role of Morwenna Newcross, the receptionist at the doctor’s office, while Selina Cadell portrays Mrs. Tishell, the local pharmacist. John Marquez reprises his role as PC Joe Penhale.
Doc Martin Season 10 Release Date
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the tenth season of Doc Martin will not be shown this year, although the show will most certainly be renewed for a subsequent season. The original release date for the series was 2021, but it was pushed back to 2021. Hopefully, production on the show’s tenth season will get underway in 2021. After 16 years on television, it will finally be available to the public in 2022.
