The Afterparty Season 2 Plot

The second season of The Afterparty will have Danner investigate a new crime at a wedding’s post-ceremony reception. And if Aniq and Zoe are involved, the wedding may be theirs! It’s not like they didn’t already have a relationship in the season finale. Zoe and Brett’s daughter Maggie appeared in the finale, dubbed “Maggie,” and was a surprise guest star. When Danner asked her about her day, she told him about sketching the cat face on Aniq and seeing Jennifer #2 wet her pants.

For Danner, who insists she knows who the assassin is, Maggie’s narrative fills in the gaps. There are three possible candidates: Aniq, Brett, or Walt. Walt, on the other hand, was in the bathroom plotting his daring fling. By coming forward, Aniq has admitted he saw Brett on the driveway moments before the crime was committed. It dawned on Aniq that the closet had been closed in every version of the story. It was open, however, as he went to inspect the drawings on his face.

It was Yasper, who had been hidden in the bushes!… When Yasper’s track was rejected by Xavier, he was enraged that he hadn’t given his blessing to it. As a result, he resolved to exact his vengeance on Xavier by killing him, then stealing and distributing the song as a postmortem duet. A/V technician Danner points out that Yasper’s text messages with dead pop singer Xavier are proof that they were buddies.

Yasper may have deleted the security tape by using Xavier’s phone, and Aniq now sees the connection between the two. Yasper gets caught red-handed when the phone is discovered in his pocket. Police Captain Danner and Detective Germain hear Danner brag about her victory. Aniq and Zoe, on the other hand, are off to have some breakfast.

When she pulls over to the side of the road, she inquires as to whether or not he plans to make a move. When Walt asks for a ride home, they are interrupted by him. The afterparty is ended now that the investigation is closed and Yasper appears to be headed to prison. A new one, though, is looming for Danner as wedding bells change into police sirens, which are on the horizon.

The Afterparty Season 2 Cast

E! News has confirmed that John Cho and Ken Jeong have joined the cast of the murder mystery comedy The Afterparty on Apple TV+. Cho will play the part of Ulysses, and Jeong will play the part of Feng. So far, that’s about all we know, but hey, count us in. For season two, the two actors join a list of other newcomers who are already very good.

Zach Woods from The Office, Elizabeth Perkins from Weeds, Poppy Liu from Hacks, and Anna Konkle from PEN15 have already said yes. Sam Richardson, Zo Chao, and Tiffany Haddish, who were all in the first season, will all be back for more mystery. The rest of the cast is made up of Paul Walter Hauser, Jack Whitehall, and Vivian Wu.

The Afterparty Season 2 Release Date

Apple TV Plus has not yet announced a release date for The Afterparty Season 2. Since the streaming service only recently renewed the series on March 2nd, it is possible that production on the second season will not begin for some time. Miller and Lord are an extremely productive pair in the realm of music production. They are presently working on the sequel to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which is scheduled to be released in December.

In addition to this, they are working on several other projects, such as a relaunch of Clone High and Project Hail Mary with Ryan Gosling. Even if someone else is in charge of showrunning The Afterparty season 2, and Miller turns off the directing duties, the process of developing scripts and shooting might take many months. Our best assumption is that the debut of season 2 won’t take place until the middle or end of 2023.
