Where Does Joffrey Lonmouth Come From?
Joffrey’s family is from the Stormlands. The tiny dynasty of House Lonmouth has sworn fidelity to the more excellent House Baratheon since before the events of Game of Thrones. A drinking game between King Robert Baratheon (Mark Addy) and “The Knight of Skulls and Kisses,” Ser Richard Lonmouth, was described in the pilot. House Lonmouth provides support for House Velaryon in House of the Dragon.
“The Knight of Kisses” refers to the banner of House Lonmouth, which features a field of red lips on a yellow background and yellow skulls on a black background. A possible interpretation of the “kisses” is that they allude to Joffrey’s romantic feelings.
His affair with Laenor is public knowledge. Rhaenys (Eve Best), Laenor’s mother, is concerned that the marriage arrangement would have a devastating effect on her son, but Corlys assures her that Laenor will “grow out” of his feelings for Joffrey.
Joffrey is more than just a pretty face, though. During the siege of the Stepstones in “Second of His Name,” he and Corlys (played by Iain Glen) and Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith) meet with the Velaryon war council.
Joffrey has his qualms about House Velaryon’s new friends. Informing Lord Corlys that Daemon has returned with his dragon Caraxes. Joffrey intervenes when the Daemon is about to kill a messenger by beating him severely and orders the Daemon to have mercy.
Who Plays Ser Joffrey Lonmouth?
In House of the Dragon, Solly McLeod portrays Ser Joffrey Lonmouth. McLeod, who portrayed Private Lambie in Outlander, is returning to the fantasy genre with the Game of Thrones prequel.
In addition, he co-starred with Ann Ogbomo, Nicholas Gleaves, and William Ash in this year’s The Rising, which was broadcast on Sky. In addition, he will play the title role in the upcoming ITV series Tom Jones, adapted from Henry Fielding’s novel. Daniel Rigby, Pearl Mackie, and Hannah Waddingham all-star in the forthcoming thriller.

Episode 5 of House of the Dragon, titled “We Light the Way,” introduces the audience to the Knight of Kisses, a member of House Lonmouth, and prompts viewers to wonder where Joffrey Lonmouth got such a unique name. According to George R.R. Martin’s Fire and Blood, Solly McLeod’s Ser Joffrey Lonmouth is the “favorite knight and comrade” of Theo Nate’s Ser Laenor Velaryon.
