Rick Owens Wife: Jared Leto made a spectacular debut at the 2019 camp-themed Met Gala by using a duplicate of his head as an accessory. Michèle Lamy imitated him on Friday by sitting front row at her husband Rick Owens’s Paris Fashion Week show while carrying a replica of the designer’s head as a pocketbook.

The 57-year-old Lamy, a longstanding collaborator and Owens’ business partner wore her trademark gold-plated teeth and an edgy all-black outfit with leather, sequins, over-the-knee boots, and a tonne of accessories, including a gold horned helmet.

Celebs like Gwendoline Christie, Teyana Taylor, and Usher sat in the front row for the outrageous show at the Palais de Tokyo, which featured everything from asymmetrical hemlines and pointed shoulder pads to crocheted sleeves and oversized puffer capes. Usher even posed for a photo with Lamy, 75, and her faux human head.

Lamy and Owens attended a dinner party to commemorate the legendary “AnOther 13” perfume by Le Labo’s tenth anniversary after the Paris Fashion Week show. Yes, the replica head was present as well.

Lamy “was keeping her phone, money and cigarettes” in the unusual handbag, according to the New York Times fashion account, which posted a picture of the quirky fashion moment on Instagram.

“A new statement accessory trend has been spotted in Paris. Michèle Lamy, wife of the American designer Rick Owens, cradled a replica of her husband’s head on the front row of his fall collection runway show on Thursday,” the outlet captioned the post. “It was — in fact — a handbag, in which she was keeping her phone, money and cigarettes.”

Lamy’s selection attracted conflicting feedback from social media users who thought the item to be “extremely frightening” and “sick,” while others praised her gothic flair as “legendary” and “elegant.”

“That is terrifying,” one user commented. Another wrote, “How ridiculous.”

“Craziness! Jared Leto used to wander about with a “double’s” head, in my memory. one more was added, making reference to the Oscar-winning actor’s iconic red carpet moment.

At the 2019 Met Gala, Leto wore his signature piece with a red long-sleeve silk gown by Gucci with body elements covered in diamonds. The head clutches made their premiere in February 2019, a few months before the Met Gala, during Milan Fashion Week. Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele.

The 48-year-old Suicide Squad actor said the wax-like severed head vanished about six months later.

“Honestly, I have no idea,” Leto told GQ when asked what happened to the Gucci design. “I think someone may have stolen it.”

Leto then made the amusing request to “bring it into your nearest Gucci store in exchange for a pair of dirty sneakers” to anyone aware of the head’s whereabouts.
