Amy Adams And Patrick Dempsey: The cast of Enchanted, including Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey, will be back for the sequel Disenchanted. At today’s (September 9) Disney D23 Expo in Anaheim, the first trailer for the upcoming sequel was shown.
In Disenchanted, Adams portrays Giselle, who finds herself in a new and very different place ten years after her “happily ever after” moment. However, ten years later, she begins to doubt her contentment and “inadvertently turns the lives of people in the real world and Andalasia upside down in the process,” as the summary puts it.
The original cast members James Marsden and Idina Menzel will return, although Gabriella Baldacchino will play Morgan Philip (Giselle’s stepdaughter) instead of Rachel Covey. The villain Malvina Monroe, played by Maya Rudolph, was also announced as a new character.
Adams may be seen singing to the birds from the balcony of her New York City condo in the teaser, telling them that “change can be scary, but it can also be exciting.” But when they relocate to a tiny home, chaos ensues. I wanted a storybook life, and it turned out horribly,” Giselle says.
On November 26th, 2022, Disney+ will debut the film Disenchanted. At the D23 Expo, fans got their first glimpse at the return of Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy, and Sarah Jessica Parker as the three witches in the upcoming film Hocus Pocus 2.
The first trailer for Disenchanted, the follow-up to 2007’s Enchanted, has also been released. Both Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey return in the film.
