After being shot, a man is in the hospital, and the alleged gunman was apprehended near Shafter on Thursday morning.
A shooting was reported in the 100 block of West Lerdo Highway on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at around 9:37 a.m., according to Shafter police.
According to the police, nearby police officers heard gunfire and detained a potential suspect rushing away from the scene.

Police in Shafter said that they discovered a male with gunshot wounds.
According to the police, the man was transferred to a nearby hospital.
According to school district authorities, the lockdown at all campuses lasted roughly 10 minutes until it was lifted.
