Who are reprising their roles as crew members Lt Commander Geordi La Forge, Worf, and Dr. Beverly Crusher, have reunited for the highly anticipated third and final season of Star Trek: Picard.
After receiving a coded distress call from Beverly Crusher, retired admiral Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) started acting in the first episode, which premiered on Paramount Plus in February 2023.
The first season of the Star Trek spin-off will debut in 2020, as initially planned in 2018.
Although there will undoubtedly be requests for additional episodes, Paramount has announced that the series will stop after the third season.
The announcement was made by Seven of Nine actor Jeri Ryan in March 2022 when she tweeted that the show’s filming was finished.
Ryan penned: “And with that, it is finished. The #StarTrekPicard series has come to an end. Very strange considering that season 2 has only recently begun.
I am so excited to see what season 3 has in store! Tremendous gratitude to our outstanding cast and crew. What a journey it’s been…”
Ryan responded, “Nah, it was always designed to be three and done,” when a fan questioned whether this meant that there were no more seasons planned.

The third and final season of Star Trek: Picard premiered in the US on Thursday, February 16, 2023, with the first brand-new episode airing on Paramount+. Weekly new episodes are released.
Fans in the UK won’t have to wait long because the episodes will be available the next day. As a result, Star Trek: Picard season 3 in the UK debuted on Prime Video on Friday, February 17, 2023.
Since that Paramount+ has also opened here, it’s important to note that there had been some doubt regarding whether the new season would still air on Amazon Video in the UK.
