When Can Physical 100 Season 2 Come?

Fans of shows like Survivor, American Ninja Warrior, and the often-compared Squid Game can’t miss Netflix’s survival competition show Physical: 100.

The streaming giant’s original series brings together 100 super-strong people, like national athletes, bodybuilders, MMA fighters, special forces soldiers, and fitness influencers, to compete in different challenges to see who has the “most perfect physique.”

Throughout nine interesting episodes, all available to stream as of Feb. 21, the fitness-obsessed men and women were eliminated one by one until there was only one contestant left, who won 300 million won (about USD 245,000).

Physical: 100 has gone viral because of the great sportsmanship and camaraderie among the cast. At first, the show was talked about because it looked like Squid Game and had a lot of famous people in it.

As the intense challenges push the players to their physical limits, their fellow contestants will cheer them on and root for them out of respect for everyone’s skills.

Even people like me who don’t care much about sports can be drawn in by the good vibes and constant amazement at what the players’ bodies can do.

Has Physical 100 Been Renewed For Season 2?

In the last few minutes of the first season’s finale, there was a hint that the show’s creators, led by producer Jang Ho-gi, are hoping for a second season.

As the show’s final shots showed a plaster bust of the winner Woo Jin-torso, Yong’s, which represented season 1’s “most perfect physique,” the show’s voice-from-above narrator said:

“Various physiques exist in the world. Our search for the perfect physique will continue.”

Based on ratings, it’s not a matter of “if” season 2 will be renewed, but “when.” Season 1 was the first unscripted show to hit No. 1 on Netflix’s Non-English TV list, and it has stayed in the Top 10 for the past month.

Even the popular Korean dating show Single’s Inferno, which has already been picked up for a third season, doesn’t come close to those numbers.

When Can Physical 100 Season 2 Come?

The Physical: 100 teams could start working on a new competition as soon as possible if season 2 is renewed.

They’ll have to make crucial decisions, like keeping the same challenges or trying to create a new game to keep the contestants and viewers on their toes.

There’s also the matter of casting and building expensive sets. Based on how long it took for the second season of Netflix’s other Korean reality show, Single’s Inferno, to come out, season 2 of Physical: 100 could come out in early 2024.
