For the third year in a row, the City of Miami Beach has declared a state of emergency and enforced a nightly curfew on South Beach beginning at 11:59 p.m. Sunday, following three fatal gunshots this weekend during spring break festivities.

According to the Miami Beach Police Department, two people were fatally shot in the neighborhood between Friday and Sunday am.

Officials claimed that when police went to an emergency call on Friday night, they discovered two individuals who had been shot near 7 Street and Ocean Drive.

According to authorities, both males were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where one died from his injuries. The other victim is critically injured.

One suspect has been detained, and three guns have been discovered at the site, according to Miami Beach Police.
