For the third year in a row, the City of Miami Beach has declared a state of emergency and enforced a nightly curfew on South Beach beginning at 11:59 p.m. Sunday, following three fatal gunshots this weekend during spring break festivities.
According to the Miami Beach Police Department, two people were fatally shot in the neighborhood between Friday and Sunday am.
Officials claimed that when police went to an emergency call on Friday night, they discovered two individuals who had been shot near 7 Street and Ocean Drive.
According to authorities, both males were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where one died from his injuries. The other victim is critically injured.
One suspect has been detained, and three guns have been discovered at the site, according to Miami Beach Police.
Sunday morning, police responded to a gunshot and discovered an injured guy near the 1000 block of Ocean Drive.

The unidentified man was sent to an area hospital, where he later died from his injuries, Miami Beach Police said on Twitter.
Both instances are being investigated by law enforcement.
According to Miami Beach city officials, the curfew will be effective until Monday morning at 6 a.m. local time.
According to city officials, businesses in the neighborhood must close early enough to give consumers ample time to avoid a curfew violation.
According to Miami Beach officials, additional curfew restrictions will be in effect from Thursday, March 23, through Monday, March 27.
Miami Beach imposed a curfew last year after many individuals were injured in a series of violent episodes in the region.
