According to reports, a firefighter from Chicago, Illinois, was detained on Friday for allegedly advertising prostitution from his residence on the city’s north side.

According to FOX 32 in Chicago, the internal affairs division of the Chicago Fire Department launched an inquiry into Brendan Kennedy-Gasior, a 37-year-old employee, in 2020.

Kennedy-Gasior is accused of sending explicit texts from his flat on W. Bryn Mawr Avenue in Chicago’s north side.

According to the TV station, Kennedy-Gasior is accused in the arrest report of advising a 23-year-old Denver woman on how to charge men for exotic massages while occasionally offering sexual favors.

Kennedy-Gasior is accused of encouraging the woman to charge $150 for a half-hour session and $200 for an hour, with the instruction that he would receive half, or $50 for each client, of the money collected, according to the police.

Men allegedly called the number in the advertising to schedule appointments after he reportedly paid for massage advertisements to appear on websites like Adultlook and Adultsearch.

She told authorities that throughout the 40–50 sessions she attended, the victim was paid $400 to engage in sexual activity with a customer, with Kennedy–Gasior receiving half of that sum.

According to the authorities, all the sessions happened in Kennedy-apartment Gasior’s while he was there.

Kennedy-Gasior was detained after the division provided the Human Trafficking Team with information following the inquiry by Internal Affairs.

On March 30, he is scheduled to appear in court.

Inquiries about the circumstances surrounding the investigation and whether Kennedy-Gasior was suspended with or without pay were not immediately answered by the Chicago Fire Department.
