In the midst of her split from Joe Jonas, Sophie Turner and Taylor Swift’s friendship is entering a new phase.
On Tuesday night, Turner was seen walking arm in arm with Swift, Jonas’ ex-girlfriend, in New York City as they made their way to dinner at the popular Swift hotspot Via Carota.
In pictures obtained by Just Jared and People, the “Lavender Haze” singer opted for a red sweater dress underneath a long jean jacket, while the “Game of Thrones” actor went for a glamorous look with a sparkly silver halter top and gray pants.
The Jonas Brothers singer, 34, and “Game of Thrones” actress, 27, filed for divorce in Miami-Dade County court two weeks prior to Turner and Swift’s girls’ night.
According to Jonas’ demand for divorce, “the marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken.”
On September 7, the pair released a joint statement via posts to both of their Instagram profiles.
They said in their letter that they had “mutually decided to amicably end our marriage” after four great years of marriage. There are many possible explanations, but this was a unanimous choice, and we genuinely hope that everyone would respect our desire for privacy for both us and our children.
Swift’s sisterhood with Turner is touching given that the singer dated Jonas briefly in 2008. Some of the tracks on Taylor Swift’s album “Fearless” and the Jonas Brothers song “Much Better” are said to have been influenced by the relationship.
However, their meeting isn’t entirely unexpected because the “Survive” actress has made it clear that she is a Swift admirer.
“The 1989 album by Taylor Swift is by far my favorite. Turner praised Jonas during an Instagram Live session they both participated in in August 2022. One of my all-time favorite albums, in all seriousness.
“Reputation’ was inspired by, or partially inspired by, Sansa and Arya Stark,” she continued.
She had a point, and Jonas concurred, telling Turner, “‘1989’ is a terrific album. Bangers!”

Joe Jonas Speaks on Divorce
After divorcing Sophie Turner, the singer tells fans it’s been a “crazy week.”
Fortunately for Turner, the “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” record will be published on October 27—exactly nine years after the original album.
“Surprise!!” Swift wrote on X, the social media site formerly known as Twitter, when announcing the album last month. “The 1989 album changed my life in countless ways, and it fills me with such excitement to announce that my version of it will be out October 27th.” She added that “1989” was her “most FAVORITE rerecord I’ve ever done.”
