Jared Scott Fogle, an American who was once a spokesman for Subway restaurants, was born on August 23, 1977. From 2000 until his conviction for child sex tourism and possession of child pornography in 2015, Fogle was a regular fixture in Subway’s commercials.
Fogle dropped 245 pounds (111 kg) between 1998 and 1999 while studying at Indiana University. He used Subway as part of his diet, and the following year he was hired to help promote the chain.

He is currently serving a 15-year term in the Federal Correctional Institution Englewood near Littleton, Colorado, after agreeing to pay $1.4 million in reparations to 14 victims. The 11th of July, 2029 is the earliest day he may be released; that’s a month before he turns 52.

From 2001 to 2007, Fogle was married to Elizabeth Christie, a pediatric nurse. In November of 2009, he proposed to his teacher girlfriend, Kathleen McLaughlin. They tied the knot in 2010 and are now the proud parents of twins. After Fogle was accused of having sex with kids and making child pornographic videos on August 19, 2015, McLaughlin filed for divorce the same day. According to reports, Fogle settled his divorce with his ex-wife for $7 million.
