Mike “Duff” McKagan is a musician from the United States. He was born on February 5, 1964. For twelve years, he was the bassist for the hard rock band Guns N’ Roses, which reached global fame in the ’80s and ’90s. After being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016, McKagan got back with the band.

Duff McKagan Personal Life
May 28, 1988 was the wedding day of Duff and Mandy Brixx. He wed Linda Johnson in September 1992 after their divorce in April 1990. Following their divorce three years later, on August 28, 1999, McKagan wed Susan Holmes. Grace was born to the couple in August 1997, and Mae was born to them in July 2000.
In 1994, Duff was admitted to Seattle’s Northwest Hospital and Medical Center after experiencing acute alcohol-induced pancreatitis, which caused his pancreas to enlarge significantly and begin secreting digestive enzymes into his bloodstream.
It was said that McKagan, who was thirty years old at the time, would probably die within a month if he didn’t stop drinking. According to an interview Duff gave in 2005, he used to consume “a gallon of vodka a day,” and he attributes his sobriety to activities like mountain biking and martial arts.
Before attending Seattle Central Community College and the Albers School of Business and Economics at Seattle University, McKagan completed a finance course at Santa Monica Community College in 1994.

In 1988, they were also named Top New Pop Artist by “Billboard,” and for their performance on “Not in This Lifetime,” they were named Top Tour/Top Draw by “Billboard” as well. World Music Awards for Best Hard Rock Artist of the Year and Best Group in 1993, Ticketmaster Touring Milestone Award for the Not in This Lifetime tour in 2017, and World Music Awards for Best Tour in 2017. For their videos “Welcome to the Jungle” (1988), “Sweet Child O’ Mine” (1989), and “November Rain” (1992), Guns N’ Roses were nominated for four MTV Video Music Awards: Best New Artist in a Video, Best Heavy Metal Video, Best Cinematography in a Video, and the Video Vanguard Award (1992).
Duff received a Kerrang! Award for Best International Newcomer in 2004 and a Grammy for Best Hard Rock Performance in 2005 for “Slither” from Velvet Revolver.

Several Los Angeles residences have belonged to McKagan. He bought a 1,855 square foot Studio City cottage for $425,000 in 1988 and a 4,162 square foot Hollywood Hills mansion for $838,000 the following year. A mansion in Agoura Hills that he purchased for $1.5 million in 1999 was sold to him in 2004 for $2.475 million.
Duff bought a house in Studio City for $960,000 in 2003, flipped it in 2005 for $1.6 million, and then bought a house in Sherman Oaks for $2.975 million four years after that. In 2017, he listed that house for $3.85 million.
He also owns a mansion nearby, which is 6,760 square feet and has seven bedrooms and 8.25 bathrooms. The mansion is worth $4.7 million. A Seattle property that McKagan purchased in 1993 for roughly $1.4 million was also in his portfolio.
