The band has canceled eight gigs in Brazil as part of their Music Of The Spheres world tour because the singer for Higher Power is required by “strict” medical advice to rest for three weeks.
According to a statement from Coldplay, Chris has been placed under strict doctor’s orders to rest for the next three weeks due to a dangerous lung illness.
“To everyone in Brazil who was anticipating these shows, we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and are grateful for your patience during this challenging time when we must put Chris’ health first.
“We have faith that Chris will recover fully from the necessary medical break and are eager to resume the tour as soon as possible.
Coldplay expressed their sincere apologies for canceling the performances and pledged to honor refund requests.

Before taking a break and continuing in Europe in May 2023, the tour will resume in Argentina from October 25 to November 8, 2023.
They now intend to move the Brazil dates to early 2023 in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo.

Coldplay stated, “It is with great regret that we must postpone our upcoming shows in Rio de Janeiro and Soo Paulo until early 2023.
Due to a dangerous lung illness, Chris has been given strict medical orders to rest for the next three weeks.
We are setting the new dates as soon as possible, and we’ll be back in a few days with additional details.
Coldplay’s statement adds, “We are optimistic that Chris will recover well following the advised medical break and look forward to restarting the tour soon.
