Gisele Bündchen is finally speaking out about her split from Tom Brady and the many rumors that have followed.
The former supermodel ended rumors that she offered Brady an ultimatum about choosing between their marriage and his football career during their 13-year marriage to the now-retired NFL great, referring to the widely publicized breakup as “the death of my dream.”
“Wow, people really made it about that. What’s been said is one piece of a much bigger puzzle,” Bündchen said in a Vanity Fair interview published Wednesday. “It’s not so black and white.”
The mother of two, 42, described the gossip as “very hurtful” and “the weirdest thing” she had ever heard.
“Listen, I have always cheered for [Tom Brady], and I would continue forever,” she said. “If there’s one person I want to be the happiest in the world, it’s him, believe me. I want him to achieve and to conquer. I want all his dreams to come true. That’s what I want, really, from the bottom of my heart.”
There were reports that the Brazilian beauty was seeing her jujitsu instructor, Joaquim Valente after the couple’s divorce was officially confirmed in October.
Bündchen said: “I think, at this point, unfortunately, because I’m divorced, I’m sure that they’re going to try to attach me to anything.”
She mentioned that she was “very grateful” to have met the Brazilian coach based in Miami.
“He’s a person that I admire and that I trust,” she said. “It’s so good to have that kind of energy, to have my kids around that type of energy.”
Brady is the father of the Victoria’s Secret model’s 13-year-old son, Benjamin, and 10-year-old daughter, Vivian.
In allegations she called “absurd,” Bündchen was also romantically linked to Jeffrey Soffer, a 55-year-old real estate developer.
“I have zero relationship with him in any way,” she explained of the billionaire. “I mean, puh-leeze. They were saying I’m with this guy, he’s old, because he’s got money – it’s ridiculous.”
“Seeing lies being created all the time about yourself is not easy,” she said.
