According to a Reno Gazette Journal update, actor Jeremy Renner assisted a car’s stranded driver before suffering a severe injury near his home in Northern Nevada.
According to the report, the Marvel actor exited the snowplow he was operating to assist a person in a car stranded on the roadside. This information was released by Mayor of Reno Hillary Schieve, along with a statement from Renner’s family indicating that he had orthopedic injuries and a blunt chest injury.
Schieve and Renner are pals, and the mayor noted that Renner “is constantly helping others” when he said the actor “was rescuing someone stranded in the snow.”
She also commended Jeremy Renner for consistently being more eager than others to help his community over the years she’s known him:
“He’s always calling and saying, ‘Hey Mayor, what do you need?'”
On Tuesday at 3:30 PM, Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam will hold a press conference to discuss the incident and provide the most recent updates on Renner’s condition.
During this trying time, Jeremy Renner and his family continue to receive our warmest sympathies from The Direct.
